This week has been a very interesting week to say the least; first of all I will be going to Mallorca for a long weekend at the end of the week, so I have bee making preparations to maximise the fun to be have – snorkelling is on the top of my list as well as getting some more diving lessons (I can not wait to have my licence!) but also some well deserved relaxation time on a fishing boat. This is my first visit to Mallorca and I have heard great things about the food and the environment, I am an outdoor kind of person, love the beach and the sun so I am very much looking forward to it and if I see you this week, let me know what do you think about my tan it will be 100% natural!
This week has also been interesting because of the news of Steve Jobs resignation, I may be beach girl, but I am also a bit of a IT geek and a big Apple fan; I have been reading a lot of old interviews and I came across this quote “I just think he and Microsoft are a bit narrow. He’d be a broader guy if he had dropped acid once or gone off to an ashram when he was younger” (On Bill Gates, The NY Times)” This made me smile yesterday; its amazing how someone that has broken every rule in the 101 management handbook delivered such successful story…. so I guess some times, breaking the rules and being outside the norm pays off! This inspired me to buy a new business book to read while on holidays called from Good to Great; I will let you what I think next week.
So after a week, of preparing for holidays and breaking news, I am now getting ready to go and meet with some girlfriends at the W for some well deserved mid-week cocktails. Perhaps I will be sharing some with you too this week?
